Established in January 2007, the center is the research and development arm of the office of International Relations. It also serves as the lead agency in a collaborative of Northern Iraqi universities for joint externally funded research and development efforts for the benefit of Northern Iraq and the broader nation of Iraq. The center is a connector between the Middle East and the West through mutually beneficial projects that include offering a safe haven for agencies, institutions, and businesses abroad desiring to have a presence in the Middle East.
Facilitate building a stable collaborative with northern Iraqi universities to ready them for partnership with US institutions of higher education.
Provide the means for consultation with US experts to update curricula, protocols, methodology, and administrative structures for training programs.
Deliver practical training and technical expertise in Business, Education, Medicine, Public Administration, Political Science, Preservation of Antiquities, and Peace Building.
Research Collaborative
Facilitate research and research related publications through collaboration between Iraqi and American universities.
Pursue and manage externally funded contracts and grants for research at Iraqi universities.
Retrieve bibliographic references and full-text documents for research and training purposes.
Offer assistance to any university faculty, administration, or student in their research.
English Language Instruction
Provide native English speaking instruction.
Initiate a contemporary English literature library.
