The College of Science was established in 1997 with two branches – Mathematics and Physics. Because of shortage of secondary teachers in Dohuk, the College of Science was temporarily suspended in 2002 and all of the staff was transferred to the newly founded College of Education. The students were then admitted to the College of Education to continue their study. In 2006, the College of Science was reinstated as a separate college from the College of Education.
The College of Science offers B.Sc. In Biology, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Psychology, Mathematics.
