From 6-8 May 2008 the second Biological Science conference will be held in the Cultural Center at the University of Dohuk (UoD) where more than a hundred research papers will be discussed. The slogan for the conference is “Education is the best way to build the future of Federal Iraqi Kurdistan”.

The Director of the Scientific Research Center and  member of the High Committee for the conference, Dr. Jaladet M. Salih said that this conference will be a scientific demonstration and most of the presented research will concentrate on  Biological and scientific development. Professors and specialists from universities in Iraq and the Kurdistan region in addition to others from Hallab University of Syria, the Arabic Institution for Development and Investigation and other international universities will attend. The main topic of the conference will be divided into six essential aspects: Molecular Biology, Natural Environment, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology and Natural Science. Discussions about the latest scientific advances in these fields will be made to benefit the research and studies which others have achieved. Moreover, cooperation and mutual exchange of knowledge between the participants will be made during the conference and there will be round table talks about some of the important matters that the world is witnessing, such as bird flu, cancer disease and  global warming effect.

All the guests will be resident in Dilshad Palace.
