| Cooperation Agreements Signed with Norwegian and Swedish Universities |

The University of Dohuk has signed joint cooperation agreements with Mälardalen University College, Sweden, and the College of Social Sciences, The University of Tromsø, Norway. The basis of the agreements concerns the provision of exchange programs for students and teaching staff, the dissemination of scientific and cultural information for research purposes, graduate studies, and joint research and contributions to training courses.
Cooperation over administrative matters and access to experts was also discussed. The agreement with the University of Tromsø also includes a conference to be held in collaboration with both universities and provision for two MA degree courses in social and political sciences with the possibility of later expansion.
The contents of the agreements were approved following a visit to the universities last month by Dr. Atrushi. The vice-president for international relations sees them as the first steps towards cooperation with other colleges in the same universities and a fruitful result of the efforts made by a number of Kurdish people there.
