A delegation visiting Dohuk from the University of Tikrit discussed aspects of scientific and cultural cooperation and the activation of the joint agreement made between the University of Tikrit and the University of Dohuk.



The delegation, which was headed by Dr. Adel Fawzi Shihab Vice-President of the University of Tikrit, included Dr. Mo'aid Hameed Jasim, director of the office of cultural relations, Dr. Mosa Jasim, director of postgraduate studies, and Dr. Ali Salih dean of the College of Education


Topics under discussion included ways of expanding cooperation in the field of postgraduate studies and the allocation of student places by the two sides, as well as the implementation of the joint cooperation agreement in a manner most beneficial to both parties.



The delegation visited the College of Physical Education, where they met with the dean, Prof. Odeat Odisho. While there they looked at the progress made by the college and discussed various matters including the possibility of setting-up joint sport activities, ways to contribute to conferences and celebrations held by the two sides, and also the promotion of scientific studies and cooperation using the expertise of staff from both universities in order to establish sport foundations in accordance with modern specifications.



The delegation also visited the College of Education and met the dean, Dr. Lazgeen Abdi, and several professors. While there, they visited the science and biology laboratories and exchanged views on the activation of the cooperation agreement to encourage exchange programmes for teaching staff, and the allocation of student places for M.Ed and PhD studies in a number of specializations.
