| The University of Dohuk and the University of Hawaii, USA, look forward to establishing a working relationship |

On Thursday 18 May 2006, a delegation from the University of Hawaii, USA, arrived for a visit to the University of Dohuk.
The visitors were Prof. Paul M Kingery, Associate Dean of Research in the Manoa College of Education and Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor for Research, and Mr. James Filibeck, an IT Specialist. They were received by Dr. Dawood Atrushi, Vice-President for Relations in the University of Dohuk, and by Prof. Muslih Sa'eed Dohuki, Dean of the College of Agriculture.
Under discussion are the possibilities of establishing relations with regard to different aspects as well as the foundation of a joint-centre in the near future.
Dr. Salim Hassan Haji, Vice-President for Administrative Affairs, expressed the readiness of the University of Dohuk to facilitate the expansion of collaborative links in order to benefit from the University of Hawaii's expertise and development.
On its side the delegation expressed its willingness to establish a close association with the University of Dohuk.
The delegation, accompanied by Ms. Shlier Ahmed, acting director in the Relations Office, visited several primary and intermediate schools to look at teaching methods used within the Dohuk Governorate. |
