| American Representatives Visit American Development Center at UoD |

A delegation from USAID, PRT, and the University of Mosul visited the University of Dohuk (UoD) on February 11, 2007. The purpose behind the visit was to discover possible ways to develop relations between both sides through supporting the American Development Center (ADC) which was opened in January.
The delegation, led by Mr. James Holtsnider from the State Department PRT - Ninewa, consisted of USAID representatives, Director General of Education, and representatives from the University of Mosul. The delegation met with Dr. Dawood Atrushi, vice-president for International Relations at UoD and Mr. James Filibeck, associate director of ADC to talk about support for ADC projects of common interest. Research and mutual studies were also discussed.
In a meeting held in the American Corner, Mr. Fillibeck presented ADC briefly before all discussed ideas to enhance relations and mutual scientific research projects for the universities of Iraqi Kurdistan, including the University of Mosul. The American delegation expressed their willingness to support projects run by ADC.
