| University of Dohuk and Uppsala University, Sweden renew their joint agreement |

The University of Dohuk and Uppsala University, Sweden renewed the joint agreement to include further aspects regarding the Psychological Health department in the College of Medicine.
Dr. Abdul Albaqi Maayee the representative of Uppsala University stated that the new statement of cooperation embodies further concentration on the Department of Child Mental Health at the College of Medicine, University of Dohuk, expansion of the training and higher studies programmes, and requires specialists to undergo extensive training and courses to enable them to work in the both universities.
Dr. Abdul Albaqi confirmed that the expansion of the agreement will include Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
The Statement of Cooperation was signed by Prof. Anne-Liis von Knorring and Dr. Abdul Albaqi Maayee on the part of Sweden, while Dr. Asmat M. Khalid and Dr. Farhad Khorshid Silivani, dean of the College of Medicine signed for the University of Dohuk.
Dr. Hassan Amin Mohammed, Vice-President for the Scientific Affairs and postgraduate studies, was present at the signing of the agreement.
Dr. Abdul Albaqi pointed out that this agreement will also include a project to develop the Department of Psychological Health and provision of support for this on the part of Sweden. Both parties to the agreement confirmed that teaching staff support for this would be provided by the University of Uppsala. |
