| Engineering Day Results in Summer Jobs for Students |

A career fair fostering relations between private building companies in Dohuk Governorate and the engineering students was held at the College of Engineering on May 22, 2007. According to organizing committee member Mrs. Wafa Abdulhussein, the goal was to build a bridge connecting these companies with the administration and students of the College of Engineering by introducing the companies’ products and services offered.
To increase awareness, a number of companies specializing in rebuilding and design presented seminars on their projects in the area. As a result, summer practices were offered by the participating companies to more than 30 students. Dr. Dawood Atrushi, who initiated the concept of the fair, hopes that this will be a yearly tradition at the college and more local and foreign companies attend the Engineering Day next year.
