College of Law has organized its first three day seminar entitled "The Role of Law in Society". Eighteen working papers related to current law were presented by instructors and students in Al-Badlisy hall at the College of Arts. Professor Mehsen Nabi, assistant dean and head of the organizing committee, pointed out presentations by students dealing with changes and developments in law especially those regarding serious crimes and personal affairs.



The seminar was opened under the patronage of University of Dohuk president, Asmat M. Khalid. The festivities were attended by professors, administration, and governorate officials. Support for relations between the college and the community was shown by Professor Nadim Yasin, dean of the College of Law, while explaining the role and importance of law for all people.
