The University of Dohuk (UoD) participated in the Iraqi universities sporting finals, where the university played host for the competitions in basketball and chess in the first semester and volleyball in the second semester. UoD had a fine showing by placing first in basketball, second in chess, and third in volleyball and football.
The university also held intercollegiate sporting competitions throughout the academic year.
