| Six New Master Theses at UoD |

The University of Dohuk (UoD) is happy to announce another fine year for graduate students receiving their Master's degree certification. Among these milestones was the first ever completion by a Psychology student in the College of Education. Other awards were given by the College of Veterinary Medicine, College of Arts, College of Education, and College of Medicine.
The first Master's thesis in the field of Psychology in the College of Education was delivered by Asa'ad R. Havend on 18 October. The thesis titled "The Confusion in Students' Role at UoD" discussed the confusion for students in college and its affect on their personality and academic level. This project research conducted by distribution of questionnaires to 1500 UoD students concentrated on the students' plight and its correlation with their ambitions and academic progress.
Another thesis presented on 18 October was made by Nawzet A. Essa from the College of Veterinary Medicine. The thesis titled "Prevalence of Ringworm in Calves and Sheep in Dohuk Provence" was the first of its kind within the field. The research was a direct study of the outbreak of mycosis among sheep and calves in Dohuk.
The third thesis by Lolaf M. Hassan from the College of Arts- English Department titled "Sense of Society: Social Theme in Edith Wharton's The Hours of Mirth and The Age of Innocence" was presented on 20 October.
The fourth thesis was presented by Shilan S. Ismael from the College of Education- Department of Mathematics. The thesis titled "Outlier Detection and Treatment in Time Series" was made on 22 October.
Another thesis also from the College of Education- Department of Mathematics was made on 23 October. The thesis titled "Using Some Criteria in Determining the Sample Size for Estimating Wheat Production in Dohuk Governorate" was presented by Suliaman A. Hussain.
T he sixth thesis made on 23 October by Arteen S. Avo was titled "MTHFR C677T Mutation and Homocysteine Concentration in Patients with Ischemic Stroke from Dohuk".
