| Three MSc. Degrees at the College of Veterinary Medicine |

Three graduate students from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Medicine and Surgery, have defended their MSc. thesis in November. These theses were presented by Othman J. Naserallah, Bushra T. Mohammed, and Khalid J. Aziz.
The first thesis was titled "Epidemiological Study of Brucellosis for Sheep and Goats in Sulaimania Governorate" by Othman J. Naserallah. This thesis studied the percentage of occurring and spreading brucellosis disease in sheep and goats from September 2006 to July 2007. The number of samples of plasma that were collected reached 989 containing 484,505 for sheep and goats respectively. These samples were pulled together from 93 herds from both sexes and various ages from nine different places in Sulaimania. All plasmas were tested as a primary garbling.
"Anatomical and Historical Studies of the Kidney and Ureter of Native Goat" was the title of the second thesis by Bushra T. Mohammed. The thesis studied the kidney and ureter of 60 goats from both sexes which were slaughtering in Dohuk slaughterhouses.
Khalid J. Aziz presented the third thesis "Prevalence of Schistosomiasis in sheep in Akra/ Dohuk province" for the interval from October 2006 until March 2007. It was made to get a survey for the animals stool to find if there are any eggs or adult worms in the animals at the slaughterhouses. All sheep suspected to be ill were examined. The results showed some conditions like emaciation, sunken-eye, and diarrhea.
